Ginkgo biloba — the leaf of a living fossil
Ginkgo biloba is often called a living fossil: the species has existed for around 200 million years and individual trees can live for more than a thousand years. Its fan-shaped leaves have been used in East Asian tradition for centuries, and in Europe ginkgo leaf extract has been one of the best-known botanical ingredients in supplements for decades.
In Aurivit, ginkgo comes as a standardised leaf extract. Standardisation means that the extract is prepared to a consistent profile of its characteristic natural compounds — flavonoid glycosides and terpene lactones — so that each batch is comparable. It is the foundation of the formula.

Why the leaf matters
The characteristic compounds of ginkgo are concentrated in its leaves. Supplement manufacturers use the dried leaf, extract it and standardise the extract, which is why you see “ginkgo biloba leaf extract” on quality labels.
Rhodiola rosea — the golden root of the north
Rhodiola rosea grows in cold mountain regions of Europe, Scandinavia and Siberia. Its root has a rose-like scent when cut — hence the name “roseroot” — and in northern folk tradition it was valued for everyday resilience during long, demanding winters.
Aurivit uses a root extract of rhodiola. Together with ginkgo, it forms the botanical core of the capsule — two plants with long traditions, chosen to work side by side in a daily routine.

From mountain plant to capsule
Rhodiola grows slowly in harsh conditions. Its roots are harvested, dried and extracted — the extract is what goes into the capsule, not the raw powdered root.

Vitamin A — for normal vision and immunity
Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin. According to the authorised EU health claims, vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal vision, to the normal function of the immune system and to the maintenance of normal skin and mucous membranes. It is a familiar part of many everyday supplements.
Vitamin B2 — for the nervous system and less tiredness
Vitamin B2, also called riboflavin, is a water-soluble B vitamin. The authorised EU health claims say that riboflavin contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system, to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. That makes it a natural partner for the botanical extracts in Aurivit.

Nervous system and energy
Your ears are only the beginning of hearing: sound is transmitted as signals to the brain. Vitamin B2 contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system — one of the reasons it is part of the Aurivit formula.
